ING Orange Ready To Color Wintonbury Hills GC

The signature ING orange signage is being readied to be unfurled at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course in Bloomfield for the Duramed Futures Tour ING New England Golf Classic July 16-18.

While Travelers has its red for the Travelers Championship, ING has it orange. The Windsor financial services company, part of the ING Group in Amsterdam, is the title sponsor of the Duramed Futures Tour event in Connecticut through 2011.

Last year was a banner one for the Dutch-based firm, as Dewi Claire Schreefel of The Netherlands won the title. CEO of ING Americas Tom McInerty was her caddie.

Don't know if that scenario will be repeated this time.

A World Cup soccer win by the Dutch over Spain Sunday would be a nice start for Schreefel, who'll defend her title next week, and ING.
